Southampton Football Club has formed a large part of Phillip Wilson’s career. He joined the club in 1998 as Head of the Academy Physiotherapy. Over the next 4 years he built a Premiership standard medical team. This included working with GP Sports physicians, consultants and employing and training physiotherapists to care for ages from 7-18 years old.

After this successful development Phillip was promoted to the First Team where he brought new ideas and treatment programmes to the players. Injury rates were significantly reduced with preventative assessments and individual holistic prehabilitation further decreasing injury rates.

This experience and working environment enabled Phillip to hone his skills and look at all the influences of the structures in the body, muscle, nerves, joints, ligaments, tendons. Physiotherapy has changed immensely in the last 20 years and these new techniques to treat and prevent injuries were at the forefront of the regimen utilised.

The general population present with the same conditions, injuries and problems experienced by elite athletes. Incorporating all the knowledge and experience of working at elite level has enabled Phillip to take treatment of the general public to a whole new level.

He has had his own clinic since 1999 and now due to popular demand he has moved in to new premises and is focusing full time on providing a Premiership physiotherapy service for you.
